December Highlights!

1. We skipped the Christmas Tree Farm this year and opted for a beautiful tree from good 'ole Home Depot. It cost half the money and took half the time, which was great with me in the middle of finals!
2. Yes! We think we have the most amazing boys! At 5 and 6 they lifted the 7ft. tree a foot off the ground to carry it to the car! We love our little Supermen!
3. This was a mommy day out at the Woodlands pavilion with my guys! We went to the book store where they got to pick out a book and we had bagels and hot chocolate and rode the trolley (that looks like Percy from Thomas the train) it was a great day!
4. Making Christmas cookies with our friend Gianluca Maggiora, quite the ordeal with 3 little men, there was flour every where!
5. This is Braden's imitation of a transformer - Optimus Prime to be exact. Stage 1
Stage 2...
Stage 3
Stage 4, I love it when he does this, it gets better every time!

6. Braden's class Party, he got out first and the girls joined him shortly after and he said, 'hey I need a boy, there are to many girdles(that's how he says girls)'!
Braden out first, so lonely...
Braden and his teacher Mrs. McClanahan.
Braden and Nonnie(my Mom) making a 'candy can' for the tree.
7. Braden's School program, for those of you that don't know, his preschool program is at Spring Baptist Church. He's learned lots of 'interesting things' they sang 'Go tell it on the Mountain' with arm gestures and all, and they also sang 'Happy Birthday Jesus'. Very cute, very Baptist, with lots of Hallelujahs and Amens! But the teachers are great and really love the kids, and he has really enjoyed it.

Thanksgiving in Oklahoma!

Yadon, Trey holding Brooks and Braden at Nana and Papa's.
Trey serenading all of us dancing after presents, this kid has some moves!

One Hot Mama dressed up in one of her new outfits and ready for a night out with Papa!

We spent the week in Oklahoma and had a great time with ALL of the Bowman Clan. The boys enjoyed being with their cousins Yadon and Brooks, and Brody(still in utero). We also celebrated Christmas while we were there so Nana wouldn't miss out on her grand-babies opening their gifts. We had a great time, Kent played in the annual Turkey Bowl football game at the high school, even though Benj and Brad wussed out! Yeah that's right I said it!!!! And I have to say the high light for the boys was cutting firewood in the back 64 acres! The 'sister's' and I got to take Mama B on a shopping spree and set her up with a whole new wardrobe! She looks amazing and loved all of her new clothes. It was great to see her prance around and feel as beautiful as we all know and think she is! And needless to say I don't think we all could have left soon enough for Papa..... We ended our Christmas exchange with a little dancing in the living room to Michael Bubble' and Trey jumped up on the ottoman and lipsinced(sp?) to the music! What a ham! Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!

A Nana-rific Week!

Halloween was so much fun with Nana(Kent's Mom)! The boys were able to go Trunk or Treating with our ward, and then our street had a block party on Halloween and lined up all of our candy in chairs while we ate and talked. All the neighbors let the boys take as much candy as they wanted and their bags were FULL by the end of the night and they didn't even have to go door to door! So- Braden did go as Captain Jack Sparrow and left his mustache and goatee on until it was time to chow down! And Trey went as Thomas the Train... AGAIN! They had a blast and so did Kent and I, and Nana was here for all the fun and really made our Halloween extra special! We had quite a busy week with class parties(we made spider cupcakes), the ward party, Braden had a friends dress-up Birthday party, we celebrated Nana's Birthday(I made a witches hat shaped cake) and Halloween night! WHEW! Hopefully Nana wasn't to worn out when she got home! We can't wait for Turkey day, having Nana around is so much fun! Thanks for a GREAT week Nana! LOL-MJ and the boys!

GO Mama!

SO! Our exciting news for this month is...

Mama got accepted to the Kingwood Nursing program! We are all very excited and proud! Her crazy summer of homework, tests and thesis really paid off! GO MAMA! She also made Phi Theta Kappa which is the Honor Society for her school. The induction ceremony was very nice, they introduced all the new Honors students led in by a guy playing the bag pipes and had the school's Dean as a guest speaker! Pretty Cool! Braden and I went to support her and Big Guy sat throught the whole ceremony and would clap every time he saw mom! What a trooper, it was alomost 2 hours long! Good Job Mar Mar! You are the best and we are SO proud of you! Love Kenter and the boys!

BOO-wman Street...

I really love Halloween! And this year has been the best so far with my guys. Braden loves to dress up on a regular basis, but is still very excited to be Captain Jack Sparrow. And Trey still wants to be Thomas- year three, I guess my late night of painting the Thomas costume 3 years ago was well worth it! They are so excited about everything Halloween and so we went all out and decorated the yard! They love the 'Haunted House' and how 'Spooky' it looks. I am looking forward to their class parties, I'm a 'Room-Mommy' and plan on making lots of fun 'Spooky' treats. Happy Halloween!

Catching up...

So alot has happened since my last update, and since my mom loves pictures the most, I am trying to add one for each 'event'.

1. I turned 28 on the 6th. Yep I'm getting old! We were in Oklahoma for confrence weekend and got to celebrate with the family-minus Sissy and Steven. It was lots of fun! Papa made me one of his wonderful cookie cakes and everyone enjoyed eating it! I got lots of awsome gifts and had a very relaxing trip!

2. While we were there, Nana took The boys and I, and Gretchen (Benj's wife and boys) Yadon and Brooks to the 'Pumpkin Patch'. It is a huge farm where there are acres and acres of pumpkins and gourds that you can go and pick yourself. The boys and the 'girls' all had a great time finding our treasures!

3. We were spoiled with all of the free Jamba we could drink! One of my favorite things every time we go to Oklahoma. I recomend the Strawberry Dream Machine...

4. I turned in my Nursing School Application- WHEW! Now we are waiting to see if i get in... Won't know until around Thanksgiving!
5. I recieved an invitation to join Phi Theta Kappa. The National Honor Society. I was pretty excited and Kent and the boys are very proud. And I made the Deans List at school. I guess now that I'm not boy crazy and single it's easier to focus on my school work!! (Although I am still VERY crazy about Kent! AHHHHH!)
6. Our Church Ward split, but the new ward still asked Kent to be the Young Men's President, which he was very glad to accept. He gets to keep a few of the kids from the old ward and is looking forward to getting to know all of the new kids! I don't have a calling yet, but have a meeting on Sunday, so we'll see...
7. BIG NEWS! No Mom I am NOT pregnant! But I did pass 2 kidney stones and now I won't have to have the surgery on the 30th. There are still 2 in there and the doctor thinks they too will pass, but no new ones developed over the last 6 months, which is EXCELLENT! The medication seems to be working and I may finally rid myself of those nasty pests!
8. Braden has his first loose tooth, and can't wait for it to fall out so the Tooth Fairy will bring him 'shiney pennies' that's what he calls quarters and anything silver!

I think that's all for now, it's been a great month so far, and we are looking forward to the upcoming Holiday Season! TTFN-Mary Jane and the boys

Trey! Trey! He's The Man!!

Tonight (Ok I wrote this that night 10-18-07, but posting it now...sorry!)we took the training wheels off of Trey's bike. He looked at Kent and asked him what to do, Kent said just get on and peddle, and before Kent even reached out to steady him he was on and off he went! He rode around until after dark and never fell! We have never seen anyone learning to do that so fast! We are SO proud! And the Trey-man is beaming from ear to ear!

Today we also got Trey's Kindergarten school pictures! And if I do say so myself, he is the best looking Kindergartener EVER! (I took a picture of the picture, our scanner isn't hooked up, so I'll add that later) He is loving school and his teacher Mrs. Corley and she adores him. She told me that 'Trey stole my heart, and when I have kids I hope I get a little boy just like him!'

Little boys are so much fun!!

The 'Real' Deal

I bought the boys some sweat pants with hoodies last week, and when I brought them home they were SO excited! Trey said "We look like REAL wrestlers" and Braden calls himself the "Speed Boy" because they make him fast and "they rock!" SOOO, I went back and got them another pair, because it's still in the 90's and they want to wear them outside. I figure we'll get our money's worth out of these!

Happy Birthday Braden Robert

So I'm posting this a month late, but the party was on time...

Happy Birthday Big Guy! We are so happy that you are part of our family! You bring us so much joy! I can hardly believe that you are 5 years old! You are an amazing boy with so much love and imagination! I love that you dress up like Super Hero's and want to 'fight crime' every day! You will always be OUR Super Hero and we love you, Happy Birthday!
(Couldn't figure out how to move the pictures around) So from Braden(dictated with help)...Thank You Gramp, Nonnie and Aunt Whitney for the Cowboy costume and guns, I like that the gun has caps and shoots good! Nana's Train Ride

Nana and her 'grand-babies' at Amtrak.
Papa and the boys.
Noone goes hungry when Nana's around!
Trey and Braden getting the 'frog slide' ready!
Braden holding the surviving frog...

OK! So first I have to apologize to Nana! I have been promising to post the train pictures FOREVER! So- sorry, but you'll be glad to know I am doing it, and without the help of Kenter so let's hope I get it right!

So this summer Nana (Kent's mom, mine goes by Nonnie...) kept the boys for a week while I had the parvo virus and stayed home to recover. Among the other amazing things they did that week with Nana and Papa, and Uncle Brad and Aunt Yvette. Nana took Trey, Braden and cousin Yadon(Benj's and Gretchen's little boy), on Amtrak! She bought them Amtrak T-shirts and spoiled them rotten! All of them had such a great time and can't wait to go again. We truly have the Worlds most amazing Nana!!! They got to be Jamba Juice inspectors with Papa, play with 'their' dogs(who Uncle Brad so graciously keeps at HIS house in Oklahoma! Thanks Brad!) and play 'frog polo' in the back yard. Nana said they started with at least 4 frogs, I'm not sure how many survived the 'frog water-slide'. It's been at least 6-8 weeks since the trip and they are still raving about all the fun and are so excited to spend conference weekend with everyone in Oklahoma over conference weekend! Thanks again Nana and Papa, in true Trey form you are 'The BEST!'
